About
Student-initiated Activities (SiA) is one of the key platforms for students to develop their leadership skills. Students work in groups or as a class to propose projects in support of a good cause. SiA provides opportunities for students to build team spirit and develop the entrepreneurial dare, as well as a greater appetite for risk-taking and experimentation.BPians who are keen to make a positive impact on their lives of others in the school or community may launch a SiA project by gathering interested peers and obtaining the endorsement from the school SLD team for implementation.

Stage 1
Initiation
Student Initiator approaches CCA teacher, Form Teacher or any teacher in the SLD team with their proposed idea.
Student Initiator fills in SiA Proposal template. (Download it here)
Student Initiator brings proposal to teacher for endorsement. That teacher will be the Teacher Mentor for the project.
Stage 2
Assessment, Feedback & Approval
Teacher Mentor assesses the feasibility of the project and provides the necessary advice and recommendations.
Student Initiator makes the necessary adjustments to project proposal and resubmits to Teacher Mentor.
Teacher Mentor seeks school’s endorsement.
Stage 3
Implementation
Each SiA project may be funded up to $40.
Students carry out project with Teacher Mentor’s supervision and guidance.
Stage 4
Post-implementation and Reflection
Teacher Mentor guides students in reflection.
Project Leader submits the following to Teacher Mentor for reimbursement:
1. All receipts of purchase
2. "SiA Student Involvement Template" to capture level of involvement for all students in the team (Download it here)
Teacher Mentor passes the above receipts to office for reimbursement.
Teacher Mentor passes "SiA Student Involvement Template" to admin staff for cockpit entry.

You will be assessed based on Uniqueness, Effort and Impact. The table below outlines a more detailed summary of the criteria being looked at during the assessment of the entire project.

Raising awareness about common cybersecurity threats and best
practices against cyber attacks.
